You can enjoy a quiet pint in the bar itself, munch through a delicious toasted sambo, relax outside watching the boats cruise by - the Beer Garden directly overlooks the Canal, play a game of darts or pool, or let your hair down at the lively regular weekend music sessions. You can even do a spot of business - the pub offers FREE WIFI facilities!
And there's no better place to enjoy the atmosphere of that big sporting occasion - Carthy's Lock 17 offers all the major sports channels on several large flat screen TV's.

The legendary North Shannon Motor Yacht Club could even be in attendance for one of their regular shindigs - Carthy's Lock 17 doubles up as their Clubhouse! Or chew the fat with visiting tourists of all nationalities from the hire boats holidaying on the River Shannon and Shannon Erne Waterway.

Twinned with London's Lock17 Pub Complex
Recently, Lock17 'twinned' with its namesake Pub at Camden Lock on London's Regent Canal.
The 'tour party' included owners David and Carmel Carthy, pictured making the presentation to Lock 17's Management team. A number of NSMYC Members also travelled for the ceremony and the accompanying 'craic'.
